Urban

Urban areas and cities are often viewed as barriers to wildlife movement, yet they can also contain important green spaces that function as habitat links. Parks, riparian buffers, greenways, and street trees can serve as urban corridors, helping species move between fragmented natural areas. Strengthening connectivity in cities benefits biodiversity and enhances ecosystem services such as cooling, stormwater management, and human well-being.
