Grassland

Grassland

Grassland ecosystems support wide-ranging species and seasonal migrations that depend on large, connected landscapes. When prairies and savannas are fragmented by development or intensive land use, wildlife movement, genetic exchange, and ecological processes such as fire can be disrupted. Maintaining and restoring grassland corridors helps sustain biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and support the long-term health of working lands.
