Case Studies: Mitigation measures to protect Asian elephants

Proven mitigation measures are now being designed, constructed, and promoted across Asian elephant range states to minimize elephant-vehicle collisions and maintain, enhance, and restore ecological connectivity. The collection of case studies provided here is based on established reporting systems and narrative and technical templates to ensure the standardization, collection, and sharing of information. The objective is to maintain an ongoing collection of effective examples to increase understanding about the existing and applicable measures already underway for limiting the fragmentation and barrier impacts of linear transport infrastructure on Asian elephant movement.
