About Sara Zeigler

Sara Zeigler is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Biological Sciences at Virginia Tech, where her research centers on developing models that simulate how landcover change and management in longleaf pine ecosystems impact red-cockaded woodpeckers. She did her PhD at the University of Maryland under Drs. Bill Fagan and Ruth DeFries. Her work focuses on the intersection of landscape processes and population dynamics for endangered species conservation.
